MORE than nine out of ten failed asylum seekers are being allowed to stay in Scotland despite having no right to remain, a damning report from Government spending watchdogs reveals today.

The backlog of illegal immigrants waiting for deportation is growing fast as the UK Border Agency is failing to keep pace with the number of cases which are turned down.
