GORDON D'ARCY reintroduced himself to the Lions yesterday by denying ever telling Sir Clive Woodward that he was 'too tired' to play against the All Blacks on the last tour.

Despite a tortuous journey spanning almost 24 hours from San Francisco to the Orange Free State, the Leinster centre goes straight into the 22 against the local Cheetahs here this afternoon after giving his version of events at the end of the last tour four years ago. Whatever the fate of British Prime Minister Brown, D'Arcy made it clear this is one Gordon who will not be quitting and never has done.
