THERE are fears that an Irish equestrian team may never again compete at the Olympic Games after Pat Hickey blasted the sport's governing bodies yesterday following the latest drug scandal.

The president of the Olympic Council of Ireland said he was 'shocked and appalled' by the news that Denis Lynch's horse Lantinus had failed a drug test and accused those in charge of the Irish equestrian team of failing to keep him fully informed in the crucial hours following his suspension.
