Summary

AUSTRALIA held their nerve to win the third Test against South Africa in Johannesburg by two wickets and claim a 3-0 series whitewash. The tourists, who began the day 44 runs short of their target with four wickets in hand, made a tense 294 for eight.

Damien Martyn, who resumed on 93, hit 101 before he was out. Stuart Clark followed, but Brett Lee (24 not out) and Michael Kasprowicz (seven not out) did what they failed narrowly to do against England at Edgbaston last summer and steered their side to victory.
