ROSS FLITNEY'S dream of a standing ovation at Old Trafford came true, but the distraught Barnet goalkeeper could hardly have imagined it would come just 90 seconds into the match.

The League Two club appealed against Flitney's red card yesterday after he was controversially sent off by referee Richard Beeby for deliberate handball on the edge of the area with his first touch in Wednesday night's 4-1 Carling Cup defeat by Manchester United.
