I'M AMAZED David Beckham should be regarded as 'the best crosser of a ball England have ever had' (Mail). What about Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney or, indeed, or my namesake Bobby Charlton, each of whom could cross a perfect ball into the area while moving at speed - a skill Beckham seems to lack?
Finney and Charlton could do this from either wing - and all of them did it with the old leather ball, like a cannonball when wet, not the beach ball used today.See the full content of this document
