STEVE HARMISON could be forgiven for wishing his boots were still lost at Dubai's international airport after belatedly joining the procession of England bowlers put to the sword by rampant Sri Lanka yesterday.

The Durham paceman was forced to wait until 2.45pm to take his place in a tiring, tormented attack at the Colombo Cricket Ground, as his kit bag had not completed the journey from South Africa the previous day. When team manager Phil Neale finally delivered his equipment to the ground, Harmison got dressed for the part and promptly endured a fearful pasting.
