A RAIL boss who tampered with the brakes of a 20-tonne wagon which killed four workers faces jail after being found guilty of their manslaughter.

Mark Connolly, 44, of MAC machinery services, deliberately dismantled the wagon's brakes before the tragedy to avoid a repair bill, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
