THE maker of Magners cider is selling its fizzy drinks business to Britvic for Pounds 170.5m.

The deal will see Ireland's CC (up e0.42 at e12.42) hand over the Ballygowan bottled water brand as well as the rights to make Pepsi and 7Up in Ireland, fitting nicely with Britvic's rights to the same fizzy drinks in the UK.
