BP'S FORMER chief executive Lord Browne quit the board of investment bank Goldman Sachs just a week after his abrupt departure from the oil giant following a judge's finding that he lied in a court document.

He has now left all his public company directorships. Bankers said his position at Goldman had become untenable.
