BUILDERS face a 10 per cent wage cut after developers and construction firms yesterday rejected the national pay deal.

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF), which represents 3,000 companies, claimed bosses could not afford the agreement because of the economic downturn. Tom Parlon, CIF director general, said it will be demanding a drop in wages from workers' unions.
