Summary
READING about the G8 Summit leaders agreeing that 'global temperatures should not rise more than 2 degrees Celsius by 2050' reminded me of the legendary King Canute (c. 1,000AD) - whose 'experts' persuaded him he had the power to hold back the rising tide.
Luckily for the G8 leaders, most will not be around in 2050 to see the fruitlessness of their aspirations. It is about time politicians and people realised so-called global warming is a natural phenomenon. There is nothing they or we can do about it, and certainly not influence it in any major way.See the full content of this document
