MANY members of the Catholic community have rightly been appalled at the offensive remarks directed at Catholic schools by the likes of Eamon Gilmore (Labour Party), Brian Hayes (Fine Gael) and John Carr (INTO).
What must the great Catholic teaching orders think; for had they not stepped into the gap in the mid-19th century and provided an education for the despised and oppressed Catholic community, this country would most likely still be an illiterate and underdeveloped backwater.See the full content of this document
