Summary

I MUST endorse the headmaster's ban on homemade mince pies at the school festive sale (Mail). Sadly, allergies have greatly increased over recent years and the Government needs to address the situation urgently as there are few allergy clinics throughout the country.

Milk, butter, margarine all the usual basic ingredients in home (or supermarket) baking could be fatal. We amend our baking accordingly. Where possible substituting soya, although this doesn't always give a successful result.
