AT JUST five years old, little Shane Melaugh can't yet read or write. His life is filled with the simple pleasures that all small boys enjoy cuddles from his mummy, play fights with his younger brother Gavin and afternoons whiled away making his army of toy soldiers march diligently across his living room floor.
And then there's his other hobby: chess. At which Shane, despite his tender years, has become really rather good.
