GOVERNMENT road safety advice urging tired drivers to take a break and drink coffee has been criticised by motoring experts.
Research has shown that coffee served at some service stations contains so little caffeine that drivers would have to drink 11 pints to ward off fatigue. In a national survey of 25 sites conducted by Auto Express magazine, the strongest drink had less than half the necessary dose of caffeine, while the weakest had 25 times less.See the full content of this document
