I'M GLAD David Thomas enjoys his pasta puttanesca in peace, without his wife 'seeing any need to talk'. If my husband told me: 'If you stop talking, here's suddenly a lot more space in your brain with which to think about something genuinely interesting,' (Mail) I'm sure I'd allow him to enjoy his pasta well and truly in peace.
