MARTIN Corry took it on the chin once again yesterday as he absolved England's embattled management from blame for Sunday's surrender in Paris.

As the fallout continued to rain down, mostly on the heads of Andy Robinson and his chain of coaching command, the one Englishman to enhance his reputation despite the calamity said: ' The criticism of the coaches isn't fair. The mistakes were purely down to the players and we acknowledge that.'
