THE cost of childcare has rocketed by more than 25 per cent in five years. The average for a fulltime nursery place is now around Pounds 142 a week or Pounds 6,600 for a 47-week year, though some families are paying as much as Pounds 21,000.
A fulltime childminding place for over-twos costs around Pounds 130 a week and up to Pounds 163 a week in inner London, though childminders can cost as much as Pounds 500 a week or Pounds 23,500 for 47 weeks of the year.See the full content of this document
