A NEW reality series in which top chef Raymond Blanc challenges nine couples to prove that they have what it takes to run a restaurant. The wannabe restaurateurs are mostly amateurs who dream of cooking for the paying public now, they have eight weeks (there are two programmes a week) to show what they can do. Each of the couples is given an empty restaurant and left to get on with it. A panel of inspectors industry experts Lee Cash, Sarah Willingham and John Lederer will pay weekly visits to find out how they're coping with the pressure of living and working together 24 hours a day. One restaurant a week will be closed; at the end of the series, the winning couple will be given the chance to run their own restaurant, financially backed by Blanc, who will throw a six-figure cheque at the business.
