IN A scenario which could have been plagiarised from a Hollywood script, Ross County debutant Jason Crooks yesterday emerged from total obscurity to win the Challenge Cup for his team.

The 18-year-old striker, who was freed by Rangers in the summer, made his competitive debut as a 115th-minute substitute - and stroked home the winning penalty against Clyde at McDiarmid Park after the teams were locked 1-1 at the end of extra time.
