Summary
STAGEHANDS will have to avert their eyes and leave the backstage area when Patricia Hodge, Lynda Bellingham and Elaine C. Smith take off their clothes for the theatre production of Calendar Girls.
However, Ms Bellingham, who gets married tomorrow, is disappointed about that, and wants it written into her contract that the backstage crew can ogle as much as they want! The show is based on the true story of members of the Rylstone Women's Institute who, to raise funds for the Leukaemia Research Fund, came up with the inspired idea of posing nude, using strategically placed scones, flowers, pots of jam and buns (the buns feature large in Calendar Girls on stage, I'm told) for a charity calendar.See the full content of this document
