Summary
NEW Derby boss Billy Davies spoke of his frustration at the critical fans who marred his team's 3-0 victory over Southend - County's first win at home under his charge.
Goals from on-loan Arsenal striker Arturo Lupoli (2) and Michael Johnson should have had the Pride Park faithful in raptures but the fans' response left Davies saying: 'The impatience of some people is remarkable when you think what state this club was in only three months ago and how much work has gone into the process of redevelopment.' Johnson added: 'It's such a downer when you're looking for encouragement.' Peter Taylor, who had taken Hull to two promotions, returned there with new club Crystal Palace only to be held to a 1-1 by the struggling East Yorkshire team. And Taylor conceded: 'They'll get out of their slump, they've got too much quality.' Leeds were swamped 4-2 despite West Bromwich being down to 10 men for an hour after Paul McShane was dismissed for tripping Geoff Horsfield at The Hawthorns. David Healy missed the resultant penalty and Leeds were then overrun by two-goal Diomansy Kamara.See the full content of this document
