MR Lenihan is an unskilled Finance Minister, we know that; but he is a decent and an educated man, so watching him yesterday was just painful. Nobody likes to see a man fail in public.

This country is suffering the worst economic and financial disaster in the history of the State. Yet yesterday we saw what our Minister has been doing during his first six months in office - sorting car parking spaces and musing about how much tax to put on coffee sold for consumption.
