I WAS appalled to read claims about excessive delays blighting passengers journeys through Dublin Airport on Good Friday as the Bank Holiday exodus brought the departures terminal to a standstill (Mail). Mr Carey claimed there were hour-long queues through the security gates left many holidaymakers frustrated. This is untrue.

Security screening queues lengths are regularly monitored. Our customer service agents continuously log the timings of the queues. Alerts and processes are in place should the security screening queue exceed eight minutes.
