Summary
SIR GUS O'DONNELL'S comments on the Civil Service (Letters) reinforce my view that the people at the top of that organisation are blind to the real problems they face -- because they are the problem.
Rather than spending time calculating the number of women employed by the Civil Service, or the number of senior appointees from the private sector, Sir Gus would do better to consider recruitment as a measure of ability and not just as part of a politically correct numbers game.See the full content of this document
