IT IS increasingly easy to pick Livingston's best XI on a Saturday night. In five outings since Pearse Flynn's infamous dressing-room order, the West Lothian outfit have beaten two promotion rivals away from home and lost only to Gretna.

Chairman Flynn doesn't necessarily deserve the credit. John Robertson responded to the Lions' tedious string of poor results not by asking his men to play Russian roulette with each other's careers, but by staying calm, emphasising the greenness of his team and backing them to come good in time.
