WHAT with being interviewed by police investigating the illegal shooting of protected birds at his grandmother's country estate, and trying his hand at underwater engineering with the British navy, it's been an unusual week for Prince Harry.

And yet the image that lingers - naggingly - is neither of these. It's of a binge-drinking prince, glugging from a vodka bottle tipped into his mouth. It's of a young man of 23, third in line to the British throne, casually running up a Pounds 2,350 bar bill in a nightclub 'without any concept of what these large sums of money mean to ordinary people', according to one of his mother's friends. It's the Queen's grandson getting into a drunken row with another clubber who says something Harry doesn't like about his girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.
