HARD-PRESSED consumers have been warned to expect further rises in fuel and food costs, despite a fall in the rate of inflation.

The annual rate of inflation fell to 4.3 per cent in April, down from 5 per cent the previous month, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show.
