THIS is not a time for us all to say 'I told you so' but I cannot help going back to various conversations I had in the West Indies only a matter of weeks ago.

Infuriatingly, it is all too easy to recall asking Andrew Flintoff if, with his history of injuries, it was really the right thing to be going off to play in the Indian Premier League; all too easy to recall suggesting to the ECB's Hugh Morris and Giles Clarke that they were running a huge risk allowing our best all-rounder to fill his boots in this largely meaningless competition.
