AN ELECTRICAL test for breast cancer has been developed and is undergoing a new round of trials.

The fast, painless test, which would be especially suitable for younger women, uses electrical pulses to detect disease. It is based on the idea that electricity behaves differently in cancerous and healthy tissue, and works by measuring the speed at which electricity passes though breast tissue.
