ENGLAND dropped Jason Leonard from their Six Nations line-up yesterday for the first time since 1990, signalling the end of his marathon career.

The 35-year-old prop has been replaced for the Ireland clash at Twickenham on Saturday by Matt Stevens, an uncapped Anglo-South African who was seven when the world's most-capped player featured in the first of his 114 Tests for England in Buenos Aires 14 years ago.
