CHANNEL 4's political editor, Elinor Goodman, was tickled hunting pink when colleague Jon Snow appeared at her leaving party on Wednesday night attired as a master of foxhounds.

'Elinor is a keen horsewoman,' Mr Snow tells me. 'So I thought it appropriate to dress up in full hunting pink with a horn, which I blew rather ineffectively, and presented a sort of micro Channel 4 News. Her dog, Ash, was filmed going into Ten Downing Street, offering Charlie Kennedy political advice and chatting away to Michael Howard.
