SENATOR Hillary Clinton, who prides herself on her cultural sensitivity, may be trying too hard. The presidential hopeful is being attacked in the U.S. for adopting a strange 'Mammy' voice when talking to African-Americans in the South (pundits refer to this as her 'black-cent').

Her hometown paper, the Chicago Tribune, asks: 'What would happen if Republican John McCain tried talking like Forrest Gump while stumping for votes in Alabama?' A lynching, presumably.
