TARIQ AZIZ, the public face of Saddam Hussein's regime, was jailed for 15 years yesterday for his role in the killings of dozens of traders.
It was the former deputy prime minister's first conviction since he gave himself up to U.S. troops in April 2003, two weeks after the dictator's rule ended. Two of Saddam's half brothers were also sentenced to death for their roles in the executions in 1992 of 42 merchants accused of breaching state price controls.See the full content of this document
