THE parents of two Britons killed in an avalanche have been billed more than Pounds 20,000 for a failed rescue attempt after an insurance company refused to pay.

James Rourke, 26, and Sam Harber, 25, were swept to their deaths by thousands of tons of ice and snow last year when they went snowboarding offpiste in the French Alps.
