A GRANDFATHER tied up the Scottish Ambulance Services entire emergency response capability in the Central region when he crashed an overloaded vehicle.

All eight in the people carrier were injured when Thomas McCallum, 55, lost control of the seven-seater Vauxhall Zafira Life on the A81 near Callander in Perthshire and crashed into a tree.
