THE story of the baby put into care because her mother was wrongly accused of abuse (Mail) brought back frightening memories of the birth of my first baby, a girl born in February 1965.
We lived in a rural area without a phone and were snowed in. I was well into labour when my husband (then only 22) came home. He made an excellent job of delivering her, including turning her, taking the cord from around her neck and cutting and tying it.See the full content of this document
