THE RECESSION means more forward-thinking companies are concentrating on sales, so it could be time to think about a sales career. It's not about the hard sell any more. Even direct-sales people who sell over the telephone are trained to be customer-friendly these days. A part-time or vacation job will help you discover whether sales is for you. If so, it will give you valuable experience to put on your CV and could lead to a career.
