Summary
FILM RATINGS Family viewing Generally suitable for all Caution recommended Particularly liable to offend Foreign Correspondent (1940) PG 11am, BBC2 Hitchcock's second American movie stars Joel McCrea as a journalist trying to rumble enemy spies in Britain. As gloriously unsubtle in the staging of its grand set pieces (most notably the famous windmill scene) as it is in its coaxing of the US to join the Allies in World War II, it remains one of the auteur's best loved lms.
Ike: Countdown To D-Day (2004) PG 3.05pm, Five Lovable Tom Selleck has his trademark moustache shorn off to take on the role of General Dwight D. Eisenhower in this risible drama about how the tide of World War II was nally turned. As you might expect, it's a story heavily skewed to the American point of view.See the full content of this document
