TEN-PIN BOWLING might seem a gentle and fun way to take exercise but researchers at Tel Aviv University in Israel warn it could also lead to injury if you don't warm up first.

They found that more than 60 per cent of regular amateur bowlers suffered from musculo-skeletal problems ranging from back pain and hamstring strain to problems in one or more joints, including the hips and ankles.
