ANDREW FLINTOFF will know today whether he will be fit to play a part in the start of England's brave new world after confirming that he has another problem with the left ankle that threatens to cut his bowling career short.

As Sportsmail revealed yesterday, Flintoff faces a battle to be fit for the first Test under new coach Peter Moores against West Indies and a decision will be made today, when England begin their preparations for Thursday's attempt to put the misery of the winter behind them.
