BARCLAYS Bank has removed an eagle emblem that had stood on one of its major buildings for 30 years - amid reports that it looked like a Nazi symbol.

A giant crane gently lowered the 14ft-wide aluminium eagle 117ft from the roof of Barclays House in Poole, Dorset.
