GAS supplies will be 'precarious' if we have a cold winter, and prices will stay high for some years, says Tullow Oil, which owns a string of North Sea fields.

UK traded gas prices, now 56p per thermal unit for 2006, should drop when new supplies arrive but will stay above 30p, says finance director Tom Hickey.
