Summary

RYAN JONESwas last night reappointed Wales captain for the autumn internationals to lead a 29-man squad that contains only one English- based player in Sale scrum-half Dwayne Peel. Wales coach Warren Gatland has concentrated on home talent but picked Peel after an ankle injury to Michael Phillips. The scrum-half is joined on the sidelines by three fellow Ospreys in full-back Lee Byrne, lock Ian Evans and prop Adam Jones. Peel will not be available for Wales' first game on November 7 against New Zealand because the game falls outside the international window. Gatland said he had accepted the decision of the English clubs not to release players for the New Zealand game but added: 'It's ironic that we will have Dwayne to train with us for three days in Test week but it is something we have long been made aware of.' He said that he had tried to reward form by naming one newcomer in Dragons flanker Dan Lydiate. Also included are three players who made debuts on tour in North America in the summer -- Cardiff Blues flanker Sam Warburton, Scarlets centre Jonathan Davies and Craig Mitchell, the Ospreys prop. Prop Gethin Jenkins and flanker Martyn Williams, Phillips' fellow Lions, are back in the fray following their recoveries from operations following the South Africa tour.

WALES SQUAD -- Backs: Biggar, Hook, Williams (Ospreys), Cooper, J Roberts, Shanklin, James, Halfpenny (Blues), M Roberts, S Jones, J Davies, M Jones (Scarlets), Peel (Sale).
