This week, it was announced that MPs in the all-party House of Commons Science and Technology Committee will recommend that parents undergoing these treatments should be allowed to choose the sex of their unborn child.
It cannot be too long, surely, before this choice is extended to couples who may not suffer infertility but who, for whatever reason, are determined to have a child of a particular sex.This immediately prompts an intriguing question.
