DRUG trafficker John Gilligan was yesterday refused legal aid for his forthcoming High Court action challenging the freezing of his assets by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB).
Gilligan, 55, was found not guilty of the 1996 murder of journalist Veronica Guerin in 2001 but was sentenced to 28 years in prison for importing cannabis resin. That sentence was later reduced to 20 years on appeal.See the full content of this document
