AFTER reading Baby, You Left It Too Late (Mail), I feel very lucky. I had my two gorgeous daughters when I was 39 and 41. They were conceived naturally, and I had no trouble getting pregnant.
I delivered them both without medical complications in a Los Angeles hospital where, because of the limits of health insurance in the U.S., I was home within 24 hours. Their father and I split up after nine years, but we now live just two miles apart and have managed, so far, to co-parent our daughters successfully.
