IF EVERY American athlete is under the same intense scrutiny from the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency as Maurice Greene, the testers must be making a fortune in overtime.

Greene, rehabilitated as the world's top sprinter after two disastrous years, revealed here yesterday that he has been tested at least 20 times this year. Twice a month the testers have called at his home with their little sample jars, most recently with a knock on his door at six in the morning.
