GRETNA plan to celebrate Hallowe'en four days early today at their rented home in Motherwell. And, by the spookiest of coincidences, the SPL computer has spat out a fitting fixture that looks certain to turn this corner of Lanarkshire into a ghost town.

When Brooks Mileson's First Division champions clinched promotion to the top flight in May, Gretna at home to Inverness - with the likelihood of a minuscule attendance - was the fixture that rang alarm bells amongst those concerned about the credibility of the SPL.
